Big gotcha with mobile hot spots on Verizon iPhone: if a call comes in, everyone connected via WiFi will lose their CDMA connection.

Verizon just confirmed that you can’t use data services during voice calls on CDMA iPhone, just like any other CDMA device.

CDMA iPhone is not exclusive to Verizon. Sprint and regional carriers must be thrilled.

@fiberguy Tripadvisor or kayak.com are my favorites, but it’s tough to find bargains at Palomar.

@fiberguy I like the Palomar boutique hotel, but depending on how you book it, it can be pricey (as can all SF hotels).
