Carolyn and I just finished up the Thanksgiving leftovers for Sunday dinner. A sad shadow has descended on our house (or so say the cats).

(David was the 2014 SkillsUSA Bronze medalist in baking and pastry, which contributed to the WorldSkills invitation.)

David also has exciting news: he’s been invited to represent the US in baking and pastry in WorldSkills 2015 in Brazil.

And now thanks to son David, the smell of baking pate a choux is wafting through the house. He’s making homemade eclairs.

Am excited and pleased that son RC is already receiving recruiting emails for after he graduates. Nice to develop options.

Alas, one son has already returned to school, and the other will go back Monday. Thanksgivings are too short.

Despite the snowstorm last night, our @SunPower solar array shed its snowy coat with the morning light and is back to normal power.

Lines no one ever sings: “I’m dreaming of a White Thanksgiving…” It is pretty though and everyone arrived home safely.
