I now have a modern home theater: every component (including the receiver) has a wired Ethernet connection; most have Wi-Fi too.

Have installed new Sony STR-DN1040 receiver and Pioneer Tower HT speakers. Love having Apple Airplay built into an AV receiver.

How efficient are solar panels today? It’s cloudy and snowing here in MA, and our array was still making 2 kW (i.e., 1/4 power) at midday.

Winter will be over when I no longer have to wear boots to get to the train station and work. I expect this will occur around July 4.
