Great sadness today over a friend of ours who died much much too young. He visited us just two weeks ago. We will miss him terribly.

Outlook, you have one job: send and receive email. This is not rocket science and it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to add a message.

I asked Outlook to send in my expense report. Instead it appears to be using the Internet to solve an NP complete problem.

Re GPS retweet, GPS is the only mainstream consumer technology I know that has corrections for both general and special relativity. So cool.

Lest anyone question Apple’s power in this deal, assuming no price premium, AAPL could nearly have bought IBM outright with cash on hand.

Question in IBM concall:

Q: “Why are there no Apple execs on this call?”

A: “Actually, we’re sitting in Apple HQ at this instant.”

Every analyst saying that iPhone and iPad sales have topped out should now be revising their forecasts in view of the IBM deal.
